Sephora, a leading global beauty retailer, wanted to accentuate the importance of Health and Safety awareness at work among its beauty consultants & retailers worldwide, warehouse employees and HQ employees. Different risks exist at different sites. The game concept was carefully crafted to establish a common basis while creating specific games tailored to each respective audience.
The objectives are to instill a safety culture, reduce workplace accidents, and ensure compliance with safety guidelines across all operational levels. The game (SCORM) is integrated into Sephora’s 360 Learning LMS and Sephora Learning Tribes for the convenience of its employees worldwide.
Sephora’s Safety Playground Challenge
The training focused on health and safety of all employees includes different topics based on the targeted audience:

Engaging Training Activated by Gamification
Emeraude designed and developed two 8-minute mini-games to stimulate real-world scenarios encountered by Employees in Sephora stores, enabling them to learn and apply learning content in a fun and interactive way.
Game 1: Scenario
To become Sephora Flame Holders, learners are tasked with helping out their colleagues in Sephora stores by recognizing safety measures and applying them based on the given situations.

Similar to the scenario in Game 1, learners are invited to become Sephora Flame Holders and are tasked with helping out their colleagues at Sephora Headquarters by recognizing good safety practices for the wellbeing of the employees in several different areas.

Each mini-game presents different scenarios relevant to the employees’ daily tasks, requiring them to apply the appropriate safety measures. With this gamified mobile learning, Sephora managed to enhance the awareness of safety measures which often get easily neglected by the employees. Bringing this challenge with a gamification approach helps employees engage in the learning modules and ensures their active participation in safety training.
